What am I surrounded by?
A Plant Walktour and Movement Workshop
是什麼圍繞著我?步行植物導覽和身體動作工作坊

What am I surrounded by? is part of a series of events, gatherings and workshops under the title Interstitial Lives. The walk tour is guided by Darrah Cole, who is a Horticulturist at the Rose Kennedy Greenway. We will gather in and depart from Mary Soo Hoo Park and walk to Dewey Square. Along the way, we will listen to Cole’s stories about plants that we walked by. We will also spend some time in silence to closely observe the plants on our own and listen to the soundscape that surrounds them.

Towards the end of the walk tour, there will be a movement workshop facilitated by Baoyi Huang, Yuqiong He, and Jiatong Jiang, who are all dancers from Greater Boston Chinese Golden Age Center. Together with them, we’ll stretch our bodies and move our muscles in choreographed movements.

Please come with sturdy footwear and proper clothing as we will stay outdoors throughout the tour, which will last approximately 60 minutes.
